Allen York is an actively licensed CPA from California in the United States, residing near Frankfurt am Main, Germany for the last 7 years. He has a wealth of experience in helping teams and companies successfully meet targets or deadlines and bring difficult audits or projects to completion. His experience is rooted specifically in the Software industry where he has been acknowledged as a leading expert in topics such as Software Revenue Recognition both under legacy US GAAP and now under IFRS 15 / ASC 606. He is a highly analytical, yet grounded and communicative accounting professional, who is skilled in driving employee performance and productivity through empowering leadership and a strong commitment to excellence. He has 10 years of experience with a multitude of unique challenges, such as restatement audits of issuers as first time clients, GAAP conversion audits, work over comfort letters, carve outs, and restructurings. He has experience with implementation of SOX and reporting on ICFR for SEC listed clients and also experience with audits of German publicly traded companies (Frankfurt Stock Exchange).
